né en 1893 à Saint-Tropez, Var, France, d'une famille russe aux origines françaises

Ancien conservateur du Musée de l’Ermitage de Saint Petersbourg,

Décorateur de théatre, costumier et illustrateur

 

Il se voue principalement à la décoration de théâtre et accessoirement à l'illustration et fait partie de ces décorateurs qui travaillent dans la suite de Christian Bérard. Il represente des images aériennes de ballet au trait gracile et libre.

Il est aussi peintre et represente des paysages urbains au chromatisme économe et au graphisme léger et moucheté, ainsi que des bouquets de fleurs non conventionnels.

Il  fut sollicité par Robert Ricci pour illustrer l’habillage des parfums.

Former curator of the Hermitage Museum of Saint Petersburg,

Theater decorator, costume designer and illustrator

 

He is dedicated mainly to theater decoration and secondarily to illustration and he works in the suite of Christian Bérard. It represents aerial images of ballet with a graceful and free line.

He is also a painter and depicts urban landscapes with a light-hearted chromaticism and light and speckled graphics, as well as unconventional bouquets of flowers.

He was asked by Robert Ricci to illustrate the dressing of perfumes.
